Springtime
Grass
You’ve been through fall and winter, and you’re so
excited to be outside. Everyone is outside, playing, cleaning, and working. You
take a deep breath in and smell this magnificent smell, one of the best smells
you could smell, one that brings back memories of your childhood. It reminds
you of a simple time, a time of joy and happiness. It’s the smell of fresh cut
grass in the spring. There’s almost nothing that can beat this smell. Fresh cut,
green, springtime grass is so natural and beautiful, and the aroma is just
captivating. I can’t think of a time when I didn’t love that sent.
Absolutely--they say our sense of smell is the strongest trigger of memory, and like you, I have many attached to that scent.
ReplyDeleteI feel like the colors you chose remind you of summer! Green grass always reminds me of summer and happy times playing outside. I can agree with you on loving the smells of freshly cut grass and all the memories that you make on the grass. I also feel like this relates to you playing football, something that you seem to enjoy playing. Though I don’t play football, I love to watch my two brothers go out on the lawn during the summer and play. Great work writing and capturing the moment!

ReplyDeleteI agree with this completely. Smells make us relive a lot of memories and there can be thousands of memories attached to a single smell. This is an accurate representation of that effect.
